This talk will focus on the path we took to get to where we are re: smartglasses. The intro will feature a short 1 minute video about the arc of history to the present day. Next the focus will shift to a global perspective on the promise of today and the reality that consumer AR is still likely years away. We will address the challenges for hardware and specifically how the optics piece (incidently the only hardware specific for smartglasses) is evolving to help.
